William E. Daniels
PORT ALLEGANY- William E. Daniels, 70, of Katherine St., passed away Sunday (Feb. 18, 2018) peacefully at his home, with family at his side.
Born December 14, 1947, in Austin, PA, he was a son of Lloyd R. and Mary E. Eicher Daniels.
William was a former resident of the area, coming from Avon, NY, where he lived for over 30 years. He was a graduate of Port Allegany High School, class of 1966.
He was employed as an electrician by Sabin Metal Corp., Scottsville, NY, for many years, before his retirement.
He was an avid softball player who played softball for the Sabin Metal Corp. team, for many years. He also enjoyed hunting and the outdoors.
Surviving in addition to his longtime companion, Tina Roach, with whom he lived with, are two sons, Robert W. Daniels of Avon, NY, William (Theresa) Daniels of Roulette, PA, three daughters, Stacy M. Daniels of Livonia, NY, Tonya Andrus of Coudersport, Jacki Daniels of Ulysses; several grandchildren; four brothers, Terry R. (Karen) Daniels, George W. (Judy) Daniels, and Lloyd R. "Buster" (Karen) Daniels all of Port Allegany, Richard L. Daniels of Mt. Pleasant, PA; two sisters, Susanna Irwin of Port Allegany, and Jean A. (Curt) Linker of Dayton Beach, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Ronald W. Daniels, and three sisters, Barbara A. Pinchock, Patricia A. Taylor, and Judith A. Morton.
At William's request there will be no visitation. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 21, 2018) in the Birch Grove Mennonite Church, Port Allegany, with Rev. Deborah Mallery, officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
