Terry L. "Fats" KEAR, 63, of Whitesville, NY, passed away after a lengthy illness on Saturday, January 10, 2015 in his home surrounded by his family. Born January 19, 1951, in Wellsville, NY, he was the son of Donald C. "Link" and Mary Donna Hunt Kear. A graduate of Whitesville Central School, he earned a degree in auto mechanics from Alfred State College. He was employed by and later operated Kear's Service Center in Whitesville for many years. He retired from Allegany County Department of Public Works in Angelica after 20 years of service. In retirement, he enjoyed buying and selling antiques, vehicles and various other items. Terry was a car enthusiast, an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was well-known for riding around town in his truck with his dogs. Surviving are: two children, Joshua (Jennifer) Kear of Wellsville and Molly (Brad) Mattison of Whitesville; four grandchildren, Alyssa Kear, Hunter Kear, Spencer Mattison, and Jacob Mattison; two brothers, Kenneth (Brenda) Kear of Bunker Hill, WV and J. Michael Kear of Whitesville; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and his dog, Buster. He was predeceased by his parents. Friends may call Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church, Whitesville, NY, where Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM.
