Terry A. BORDEN

Terry A. BORDEN, 66, of Lakeville, died on Friday, March 14, 2025, at home due to known medical issues. 

He was born on March 29, 1959, in Warsaw, the son of the late Alton “Pete” Borden and Vonda (James) Burrows. 

On August 4, 1979, in Belmont, he married Donna Ross, who survives.

Terry was raised in Caneadea and graduated from Belmont High School in 1977. In his early adulthood he moved to Castile, but shortly after moved to Nunda, where he lived for over 30 years. Working a handful of odd jobs, he found his career as a fabric cutter for Seating Inc. of Nunda, for whom he was employed by for 29 years, retiring in 2024. 

Outside of his employment, he was an avid fisherman – if you couldn’t find him, everyone knew to start checking the lakes. He was a member of the Flower City Sportsman Club, which focus on Bass Fishing, in Rochester. To his family, he was a dedicated grandfather.

In addition to his wife of 45 years, Donna Borden, he is survived by: a daughter, Hope (Dan) Pepper of Plainfield, CT; two grandchildren, Greyson and Daphne Pepper; four siblings, David (Dawn) Borden of Perry, Jeff (MaryAnn) Borden of Poughkeepsie, Amy (Donald) Morris of Fayetteville, NC, and Tom (Jackie) Borden of Caneadea; as well as several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by: a sister and her husband, Beth & Dean Hippley of Lakeland, FL.

Friends are invited to call on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 2 – 4 pm at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home, 17 Schuyler Street, Belmont.
