T. James DAVIS

T. James DAVIS, 64, of Westfield, PA, died Thursday, October 13, 2022 in Reston, VA. 

 

Born August 17, 1958, in Wellsboro, he was the son of T. Kenneth and Elizabeth Ray Davis.  On October 13, 1984, in Brookland, PA, he married the former Darla M. Burrous, who survives.  A graduate of Cowanesque Valley High School, he was employed by Westfield Tanning Company, H.S. Leathers & Son Hardware in Knoxville, and Northern Tioga School District.  Jim was a lifelong member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Westfield, serving on the vestry and as Sr. Warden for many years.  He served as president of the Westfield Boro Council, president of Upper Pine Creek Council of Governments, president of Allegheny Mountain Youth Baseball, and was active with Westfield Youth Baseball, and Tioga County Development Corp. 

 

Surviving besides his wife, Darla, are:  two children, Jaymes K. Davis of Westfield and Elizabeth (Jacob Pettie) Davis of Reston, VA;  two nieces, Trish (Greg) Crum and Elspeth (Alex) Miller;  three nephews, Jairod Shoemaker, Patrick Shoemaker, Jacob Shoemaker;  his father-in-law, Kenneth “Fub” Burrous of Westfield;  and sister-in-law, Shammi (Walter) Belliveau of North Walpole, NH.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Sue Ann Anderson;  a brother, Talbot Ray Davis;  and his mother-in-law, Barbara Burrous. 

 

Friends may call at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 205 Elm Street, Westfield, PA on Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, with a Memorial Service following at 11:00 AM.  The Rev. Thomas S. Gramley will preside.  Burial will be in Champlin Cemetery, Westfield.
