Wellsville, NY - Sylvia M. Switzer-Mattox, 70, of 3043 Trapping Brook Road died Sunday, January 30, 2011 at the Wellsville Manor Care Center, surrounded by her family. She was born May 31, 1940 in Wellsville the daughter of Herbert and Christine (Rich) Quant. She was married to Richard Mattox who predeceased her in 1997. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Wellsville.
She is survived by four daughters, Karen (Lonnie) Sebastian of Reno, NV, Julie (Christopher) Thomas of Dunnellon, FL, Crystal (Arnold) Young of San Diego, CA and Lisa (Rich) Steckman of El Cajon, CA, five grandchildren, David Hernandez, Jacoba Hernandez, Christopher Thomas, Kyle Young and Natalie Young as well as several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Edward and James Quant.
Friends are invited to call on Sunday, February, 6, 2011 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Presbyterian Church of Wellsville at 83 Chamberlain Street. A memorial service will follow visitation at 2:00 pm in church with Pastor Tom A. Kristoffersen presiding. Burial will be in Knights Creek Cemetery in Scio.
