Suzanne "Sue" BOWEN

Suzanne "Sue" BOWEN, 67, of Galeton, PA, died Thursday, September 20, 2012 in her home. Born September 19, 1945, in Trenton, NJ, she was the daughter of Walter "Mike" and Mary V. Shinn Foster. On November 14, 1975, in Galeton, she married George A. Bowen, Jr., who survives. Sue was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She served on the Pike Township Board of Election for 36 years. Surviving besides her husband, George, are: two sons, Vincent G. (Kristie) Bowen of Galeton and Jon M. (Shanna) Bowen of Wilkes-Barre, PA; five grandchildren; two brothers, Edwin (Dorothy) Foster of Slippery Rock, PA and James (Beth) Foster of Kinzua, PA; and nieces and nephews. Friends may call Saturday, September 22, 2012 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the West Pike Baptist Church, where Funeral Services will be held on Sunday at 2:00 PM. The Rev. John Prouty will officiate. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery, Galeton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Patterson Cancer Center, c/o Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, PA 16915 or the Goodyear Hose Co., Galeton, PA 16922.
