Stuart L. POTTER

On December 11, 2021, this valley had winds that came through it that could have only been the valley weeping.

Stuart L. POTTER, 67, of Harrison Valley, PA, died Saturday, December 11, 2021 in UPMC Cole, Coudersport.  Born January 8, 1954, in Wellsboro, he was the son of James Dee and Catherine Juanita Lewis Potter.  On December 17, 2008, in Brookfield, he married the former Connie M. Beebe Patterson, who survives.  A 1973 graduate of Northern Potter High School, he was employed by Dresser-Rand in Wellsville, NY for 10 years and Harrison Township for 24 years.  He served as a Harrison Township supervisor for many years.  Stuart was a family man whose passions were woodworking, and improving the "Stuart Farm" Homestead, a vision that in his mind was never complete.

Surviving besides his wife, Connie, are:  six children, Jennifer (Jay) Cullinan of Goochland, VA, Jamie Lynn (Mike Marcum) Potter of Goochland, VA, Julia (Ken) Harrison of Clermont, FL, Ashley (Joshua) Prince of Ulysses, Anna (Joshua) Kraft of Clermont, FL, and Nate (Jen Graves) Potter of Wellsville, NY;  three step-children, Terry (Terri) Patterson, Donna Patterson, and Cindy (Darvin) Wanner, all of Sabinsville;  23 grandchildren;  four brothers, David N. Potter of Ulysses, Lloyd D. (Leah) Potter of Whitesville, NY, William F. (Diann) Potter of Genesee, and Edward J. (Jeanne) Potter of Ripley, NY;  four sisters, Elsie (Elwin) Geer of Rexville, NY, Pauline (Duane) Gross of Coudersport, Marion (Gerald) Haskins of Genesee, and Geniese (Keith) Brewster of Bath, NY;  extended family;  and close friends.  He was predeceased by three brothers, Howard L. Potter, Charles D. Potter, James D. Potter.

Friends may call at Olney-Foust Funeral Homes & Crematory, Ulysses, PA on Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM.  The family requests that masks be worn.
