Stephen M. HECK, Sr.

Stephen M. HECK, Sr., 77, of Westfield, PA, formerly of Brooklyn, NY, Queens, NY, and Wantaugh, Long Island, NY, died Wednesday, January 29, 2025 in UPMC Wellsboro, Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital. 

Born June 3, 1947, in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of Henry Joseph and Palma Marie Grandinetti Heck. A graduate of St. Francis Prep School in Brooklyn, he studied at Borough of Manhattan Community College. On May 22, 1966, in Brooklyn, he married Josephine Terzo, who predeceased him on November 5, 2018. He was employed by Con Edison for 20 years and Consolidated/Dominion for 20 years, retiring as a senior repairman. Steve was a member of Knights of Columbus #3972 in Elkland. 

Surviving are: three children, Stephen M. (Brenda) Heck, Jr. of Genesee, John J. (Tammy) Heck of Williamsport, and Lisa M. (William) Benway of Westfield; five grandchildren; six siblings, Henry “Hank” (Jean) Heck, Jr., Laraine (Bob) Donnelly, Diane (Joseph) Hoffman, Mariane Heck, Michael Heck, and Janet Maslick; nieces and nephews. 

Services will be private. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
