Stephen E. “Steve” Dynda
COUDERSPORT- Stephen E. “Steve” Dynda, 73, of Maple Lane, passed away Thursday (Jan. 17, 2013) in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport.
Born June 9, 1939, in Coudersport, he was a son of Joseph and Elsie Austin Dynda. On December 22, 1990, Coudersport, he married Claudia L. Peno, who survives.
Mr. Dynda was employed with National Fuel Gas Co. for several years, before his retirement.
He was a veteran having served with the US Marine Corp.
He was a graduate of the Scotland School for Veteran Children, Chambersburg, PA.
He was a lifetime resident of the area and a member of the Coudersport American Legion.
He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and digging leeks.
Surviving in addition his wife, Claudia, are a son, Jeff Dynda of Martinsburg, WV; three daughters, Nancy J. (Herb) Gular of Roulette, Lori S. (Greg) Andruchowsky of Ulysses, PA, Jenna L. (Brian) Switzer of Erie, PA; a stepson, Jerrod J. Renko of Shinglehouse; 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; a sister, Kathryn (Joseph) Boyd of Coudersport; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Glenda Dynda, two grandsons and a granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday (Jan. 21, 2013) in the Austin United Methodist Church, with Rev. Steven Small, pastor, and Kathryn Boyd co-officiating.
Burial will be in Gilmore Cemetery, Sinnemahoning, PA.
A military service will be conducted by the Potter County Honor Guard immediately following the funeral, at the church.
