Scott M. Spencer

ROULETTE- Scott M. Spencer, 61, of Creekside Dr., passed away Monday (Jan. 24, 2022) in UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport.

Born June 20, 1960, in Port Allegany, he was a son of Philip E. and Kathleen Chilson Spencer.

He was a resident of the area for the past 3 years coming from Wagoner, OK.  He was a graduate of Port Allegany High School, class of 1978. He graduated from Rogers State University, OK, with an associate degree in Nursing.

Scott was a veteran, having served with the US Army from June 1978-Dec. 1986.

He was both a registered nurse, flight nurse and paramedic during his employment.

Scott attended the Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Port Allegany. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 258, Port Allegany. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.  He was well respected in the health care industry.

Surviving in addition to his mother, Kathleen “Janice” Chilson and his step-father, Duane A. Prince both of Auburn, NY, are two sons, Jeremiah M. Spencer of New Bern, NC, Joshua (Alicia) Spencer of Rowlett. TX; two daughters, Kyla C. Spencer of Prosper, TX, Ashley S. Lane of Pryor, OK; four grandchildren; two sisters, Stacia T. (Doug) Nolder of Roulette, Krista J. (Jay) Stockton of Rew, PA; two brothers, Kirk J. Spencer of Lafayette, IN, Benjamin W. (Jacqui) Prince of Hatfield, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Philip Spencer.

A private funeral service will be held Friday (Jan. 28, 2022) in the Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Port Allegany, with Rev. Joann Piatko, pastor, officiating.  A military service will be conducted by the Port Allegany Honor Guard, immediately following the funeral service, at the church.
