Ruth P. SCHOONOVER, 89, of Galeton, PA, formerly of Ulysses, Sterling Run, and Driftwood, died Sunday, April 12, 2015 in Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, PA. **********A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 30, 2015 in the West Pike Baptist Church. Her nephew, Rev. Schoonover, who predeceased her in 1992. Ruth was employed by Galeton Production during World War II, and then went on to work at Sylvania Inn, Ox Yoke Inn, and last at St. Marys Carbon for over ten years. She was a member of the West Pike Baptist Church and the Galeton Senior Center. Surviving are: two sons, Floyd (Pat L.) Schoonover of Crescent City, FL and Donald (Pat J.) Schoonover of Ulysses; a daughter, Frances (David) Flynn of Sterling Run, PA; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Ann Curtis and Doris Mead, both of Potter Brook; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Clarence Prouty and David Prouty; and a sister, Margaret McFall. �½�½
