Russell E. CLOAK

Russell E. CLOAK, 90, of Ulysses, PA, formerly of Penndel, PA, died Tuesday, February 11, 2014 in his home. Born December 6, 1923, in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of Russell E. and Lydia Geary Cloak. On September 25, 1948, in Philadelphia, he married the former Catherine O'Driscoll, who predeceased him on August 4, 2004. A World War II Veteran, he served honorably with the US Army in the European and Pacific Theatres. A longtime resident of Penndel, he resided in Ulysses since 1990. Russell was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church in Penndel. He was employed as a carpenter by Henkels and McCoy and was a 65 year member of Carpenter's Local #1856. Surviving are: eight children, Richard of CA, Michael of Quakertown, Mary Ferry of Bensalem, Colleen Cloak of Ulysses, Karen LaFlamme of FL, Diane O'Brien of Berks, Timothy of Swoyersville, and Ronald of Ulysses; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, William (Elaine) Cloak of Gaines, PA; a sister, Mildred Cadman of Bradenton, FL; nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a son and a daughter; a grandson, Bryan; a brother, Stephen Cloak; and a sister, Jane Klein. Private services will be held in Penndel.
