Ronald L. SMITH, 60, of Coudersport, PA, formerly of Elizabethtown, PA and Clarksville, TN, died Thursday, April 12, 2012 in the Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, PA. Born June 21, 1951, in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of Lehman and Ruth Young Smith. A US Army Veteran, he served honorably from 1971 - 1994. He was employed by Level 3 in Coudersport for 15 years. Ron was a member of the Bingham Center Bible Church and Eulalia Lodge No. 342 F&AM in Coudersport. He enjoyed golfing, photography, carpentry and loved his Shelby. Surviving are: his wife, the former Susan C. Ransom; his mother, Ruth Smith of Elizabethtown, PA; two daughters, Michelle Smith and Melinda Smith, both of Clarksville, TN; two step-sons, Travis (Neena) Brown of Ulysses, PA and Andrew (Sara) Brown of Seminary, MS; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Dr. Barry (Suzanne) Smith of Elizabethtown and Dr. Samuel (Deborah) Smith of Middletown, PA; two sisters, Diane (Thomas) Burke of Bainbridge, PA and Cheryl Hocutt of Elizabethtown; eight nieces and nephews; six grandnieces and grandnephews; aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his first wife, Deena Robinson Smith; and his father, Lehman Smith. Friends may call Saturday, April 14, 2012 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA, where Funeral Services will be held on Sunday at 2:00 PM. Pastor Harold Kiel will officiate. Military Rites will be accorded by members of the Potter County Honor Guard. A Masonic Service will be held 8:30 PM Saturday in the funeral home.
