Rita L. ERWAY, 65, of Ulysses, PA, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born March 1, 1949, in Wellsville, NY, she was the daughter of Herman William and Frances Montgomery Lehman. On April 18, 1970, in Gold, PA, she married Gary O. Erway, who survives. A graduate of Northern Potter High School and Williamsport Area Community College, she was employed as an operating room technician by Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport. Rita was a member of the Ulysses United Methodist Church, Ulysses Women's Club, Ulysses Community Band, Red Hat Society, and the Tri-Town Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary. Surviving besides her husband, Gary, are: two daughters, Nicole (Dennis) Proctor and Angela Erway, both of Bradford, PA; a grandson, Bailey; a brother, William M. Lehman of FL; a sister, Susan (Robert) Campbell of Kissimmee, FL; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Malissa S. Erway on January 17, 2012. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 17, 2014 in the Ulysses United Methodist Church. Rev. Rob Anderson and Rev. Nettie Treat will co-officiate. A fellowship luncheon will be held in the Tri-Town Fire Hall social room following the service.
