Richard W. MONROE, 77, of Sabinsville, PA and Jesup, GA, formerly of Livonia, NY, died Sunday, April 3, 2016 in Wayne Memorial Hospital, Jesup, GA.
Born February 17, 1939, in Blossburg, PA, he was the son of Leon M. and Grace Page Monroe.
He was employed by American Can Co. in Fairport, NY for many years.
Surviving are: a daughter, Margaret "Peggy" Joy of Lakeville, NY; two sons, William Monroe and John Monroe, both of Livonia, NY; seven grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; his former wife, Norma Monroe of Lakeville, NY; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a two brothers, Leon Monroe, Jr. and Oscar C. Monroe; and four sisters, Eva Reynolds, Tina Fry, Alice Bedelyon, and Julia Robinson.
Friends may call at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 11:00 AM -1:00 PM, with Funeral Services following at 1:00 PM. The Rev. Marty Zdrojewski will officiate. Burial will be in Ulysses Cemetery.
