Richard W. EATON, 83, of Genesee, PA, died Saturday, August 12, 2017 in Hart Comfort House, Wellsville, NY.
Born February 17, 1934, in Genesee, he was the son of E. Avery and Zelma Kuhn Eaton.
On May 25, 1955, in Genesee, he married the former Audrey A. Nelson, who survives.
He was employed by PennDOT, retiring after 23 years of service.
Richard was a member of the Genesee United Methodist Church and a 65-year member of the Genesee Volunteer Fire Company.
Surviving besides his wife, Audrey, are: five children, Lorraine DeVriendt of Avondale, AZ, Sheryl (Doug) Hall of Lexington, SC, Arnold (Cheryl) Eaton of Wellsville, Carolyn (Frank Kramer) Eaton of Mentor, OH, and Steve (Beth) Eaton of Shinglehouse, PA; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Leo Eaton of Wellsville, NY; four sisters, Gertrude Dunham of Genesee, Marjorie Guido of Butler, PA, Betty (Robert) Carroll of Millport, PA, and Genevieve (Max) Stuckey of Roulette, PA; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, Anthony Hall; two brothers, Clifton Eaton and Elwyn Eaton; and a sister, Pearl Baldwin.
Friends may call Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA, where Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Todd Lamer and the Rev. Erick Potter will co-officiate. Burial will be in Genesee Cemetery.
