Richard E. ANTHONY

Richard E. ANTHONY, 82, of Andover, NY, died Saturday, December 27, 2014 in Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville, NY. Born June 22, 1932, in Westfield, PA, he was the son of Alfred W. and Martha Hammond Anthony. On June 4, 1954, in Harrison Valley, PA, he married Barbara J. Van Etten, who predeceased him on April 25, 2007. A Korean War Veteran, he served honorably with the US Army. He was employed by Dresser-Rand in Wellsville, NY. Richard was a member of Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Andover. He enjoyed bowling and was the #1 fan for the Van Pelt racing team. Surviving are: two brothers, James N. (Betty) Anthony of Axton, VA and Alfred E. Anthony of Redington Shores, FL; a sister, Mary Van Pelt of Harrison Valley, PA; nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a daughter, Kim Marie Anthony; two brothers, David and William; and a sister, Ardath Snyder Judd. A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 14, 2015 in the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, 5 Rochambeau Ave., Andover, NY. Burial will be in Ulysses Cemetery.
