Rex Ranger HACKETT, 73, of Scio, NY, died Friday, November 11, 2022 in Canandaigua VA Medical Center.
Born August 12, 1949, in Olean, he was the son of Stanley and Bernice Singer Hackett. A Vietnam Veteran, he served honorably with the US Army from 1967 – 1970, stationed in Korea. Rex was employed as a security guard by Clow Valve Foundry in Oskaloosa, IA.
Surviving are: a daughter, Rebecca Hackett of NC; two grandchildren, Jaiden Hackett and Gabriel Hackett, both of NC; a brother, Stanley Singer of Caneadea; nieces, Brenda Singer of KY and Laurie Greeson of Little Genesee; and several cousins including, James R. (Lynda) Stuck of Bolivar and Ken (Carol) Stonemetz of Houghton. He was predeceased by a brother, Randol E. Hackett.
A graveside service and military rites will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, November 18, 2022 in Bath National Cemetery.
