Belmont, NY - Raymond S. Mallery, 86, of Feathers Creek Road passed away on Monday, January 28, 2013, at home after a long illness. He was born on March 21, 1926 in Wellsville to Norman F. and Mary F. (Stevens) Mallery. On December 26, 1948, in Wellsville, he married Jean H. Folwell who predeceased him on January 15, 1995. Raymond served in the US Marine Corps during WWII and had been a former resident of Waco, Texas. He was an instructor at Texas State Technical Institute (TSTI) and was a TV technician at Mallery Radio & Television in Wellsville. Raymond was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the VFW.

Survivors include: 2 daughters, Kitty [Frank] Pasquale of Belmont and Nancy Rae Mallery of Bradford, Vermont; 6 grandchildren, Ticia (Baldwin) McGean, Francis (Chip) Pasquale, Todd Baldwin, Nikki Noniewicz, Tia Grooms, and Justin L. Winter; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his son, David L. Mallery; 2 sisters Norma Newland and Margaret Delane; 3 brothers, Bill, Lawrence and Mickey; a grandson and a great grandson.

He will be remembered for his sense of humor, intelligence, and most of all, pride of his family and religious belief, as well as his faithful Sheltie and friend, 'Haley'.

Friends are invited to call on Friday, February 1 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home in Belmont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church on February 2 at 11 am, with Father Thomas Roman as celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery (Belmont) and memorials may be made to the Holy Family Catholic Church. To leave online condolences please visit www.embserfuneralhome.com.
