Penelope Walker "Penny" MEHAL

Penelope Walker "Penny" MEHAL, 89, of Genesee, PA, formerly of Old Tappan, NJ, died Sunday, April 15, 2012 in the Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport, PA. Born April 2, 1923, in Brackenridge, PA, she was the daughter of Todd and Elzada Mae Buzzard Walker. On June 25, 1944, in Natrona, PA, she married Lawrence R. Mehal, who survives. A registered nurse, she was employed by hospitals in New Jersey and retired from Sweden Valley Manor in Coudersport. She served on the Ulysses Library Board of Trustees. Surviving besides her husband, Lawrence, is a daughter, Diane Fleur Mehal of Framingham, MA. She was predeceased by a son, Lawrence J. Mehal. There will be no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ulysses Library, P.O. Box 316, Ulysses, PA 16948. Arrangements are entrusted to the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA.
