Paul C. WYNKOOP, 88, of Middlebury Center, PA, formerly of Sabinsville, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in his home. Born July 28, 1924, in Latrobe, PA, he was the son of Carl and Blanche McKelvey Wynkoop. Orphaned by the death of his parents at a young age, he was raised by his uncle and aunt, Clair and Mary Wynkoop. A World War II Veteran, he served honorably with the US Army in the European Theatre. On April 30, 1965, in Bel Air, MD, he married the former Natalie L. Larrison, who survives. Paul was employed by Diversified Services in Harrisburg, PA as a mutual funds salesman, by the Valley Dollar Saver in Westfield and he enjoyed operating Wynkoop's Fruit Stand in Westfield. He was a member of Jemison Valley Brethren in Christ Church. Surviving besides his wife, Natalie, are: a son, Cal (Sylvia) Wynkoop of Wellsboro; two daughters, Tonda (Bill) Gridley of Charlotte, NC and Tammy Martin of Middlebury Center; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; special cousins, Ken and Virginia Baker; and special friends, Simon and Donna McCullough. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, June 1, 2013 in the Jemison Valley Brethren in Christ Church, 5870 Route 249, Westfield, PA 16950. Rev. Raymond Mummert will officiate. Burial will be in Larrison Cemetery, Sabinsville, PA. Military Rites will be accorded by members of the Tioga County Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jemison Valley Brethren in Christ Church. Arrangements are entrusted to the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA.
