Norma J. HAND, 65, of Mills, PA, died Saturday, February 8, 2025 in Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, UPMC Wellsboro. 

Born April 11, 1959, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of Howard Norman and Shirley Waddell Dean. On April 3, 1993, in Essex, MD, she married Loren John “Joe” Hand, who survives. A graduate of Overlea High School in Baltimore, she was employed as a toll collector in Baltimore for eight years and by Overbrook Eggnog Corp. in Baltimore for over 20 years. 

Surviving besides her husband, Joe, are: two sons, Johnny Wayne Freeman and Brian Wayne Freeman; three grandchildren; a brother, Ricky Montgomery; a sister, Susan (Joel) Hackman; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and two brothers, Ernest “Butchie” Montgomery and James Hackman. 

Friends may call at the Harrison Valley Christian & Missionary Alliance Church on Thursday, February 13, 2024 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, with Funeral Services following at 2:00 PM. Rev. Kevin Cornish will officiate. Burial will be in North Bingham Cemetery. 

Memorials may be made to any animal care sanctuary.
