Norma E. HAND, of Ulysses, PA, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016 in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport.
Born June 11, 1927, in Inverness, CA, she was the daughter of Peter and Beatrice Conley Alberigi.
On June 11, 1946, in Ulysses, she married Kenneth L. Hand, who predeceased her on March 26, 2003.
She was employed by Galeton Production for 22 years and the Laurelwood Inn in Coudersport for 13 years.
Norma served as president of the Ulysses Library Association for several years and as a cub scout den mother for over 20 years. She was honored as Ulysses Citizen of the Year in 1994.
Surviving are: two daughters, Victoria (Robert) Blackwell of Liverpool, NY and Deborah Barker of Ulysses; four grandchildren, Norell (Rick) Lovaas of Wasilla, AK, Kimberly (Michael) Lucia of Manlius, NY, Steven (Katie) Barker of Coraopolis, PA, and Adam Barker of San Diego, CA; and three great-grandchildren, Danika Palmer of Little Rock, AR, Jacob Lovaas and Bradley Lovaas, both of Wasilla, AK; nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Ralph Alberigi and Roy Alberigi; and a sister, May Bence.
Friends may call at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 12:00 - 1:00 PM, with a Memorial Service following at 1:00 PM. The Rev. Sean DiMaria will preside. Burial will be in Ulysses Cemetery.
