PORT ALLEGANY- M. Olive Glase, 84, of N. Brooklynside Rd., passed away Monday (July 2, 20102) in the Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport.
Born March 19, 1928, in Charleroi, PA, she was a daughter of Ralph and Tornada Roberts Harrison. On July 3, 1947, in Port Allegany, she married Frank C. Glase, who died Mar. 7, 2011.
Mrs. Glase was a self-employed baker, having made cakes for many local residents throughout the years.
She was an avid bingo player who enjoyed bingo in several different communities.
Surviving are two sons, M. Dennis Glase of Olean, NY, Ralph C. (Sandy) Glase of Port Allegany; two daughters, Bonnie J. (Thomas) Brown of Farmers Valley, PA, and Carol A. Glase of Port Allegany; 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ralph J. (Kaye) Harrison of Roulette; and a sister, Lorraine (Wil) Smith of Jacksonville, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Frank, and a son Danny R. Glase, 1969, a brother, James W. Harrison, and a sister, Virginia Wolfe.
Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m. Thursday (July 5, 2012) in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Randall Headley, pastor of the United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Grimes Cemetery, Port Allegany.
Memorials can be made to the Port Allegany Fire Department.
