Mildred L. Seyler
PORT ALLEGANY- Mildred L. Seyler, 96, formerly of Church St., passed away Monday (Nov. 12, 2012) in Sena Kean Manor, Smethport.
Born August 29, 1916, in Rochester, NY, she was a daughter of Alfred G. and Harriet M. Eastman Morris. On Mar. 29, 1941, in Cleveland, OH, she married Donald N. Kidson, who died Dec. 18, 1957. On Jan. 4, 1967, in Cleveland, OH, she married Donald H. Seyler, who died Dec. 1, 1985.
Mrs. Seyler had earlier worked as an insurance auditor for Shelby Insurance Co., Cleveland, OH.
A longtime resident of the area, she was a member of the United Methodist Church of Port Allegany, where she was a former trustee, Sunday school teacher, and helped with attendance and new memberships.
Surviving are six nieces, Gail A. (Ken) Linden of Rocky River, OH, Diane L. Leetch of North Ridgeville, OH, Gwen E. (Dave) Reinker of Oswego, IL, Dru E. (Matt) Therrian of Chardon, OH, Claudette (Frank) Russo of San Diego, CA, Valerie Cardona of Shady Grove, FL; and a nephew, Lance Morris of Lakewood, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a brother, William Morris, and a sister, Grace E. Strobel.
Friends will be received from 9-11 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 17, 2012) in the United Methodist Church, Port Allegany, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Randall Headley, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Portage Valley Cemetery, Wrights, PA.
Memorials can be made to the United Methodist Church or the S.W. Smith Library.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
