Mildred O. Freer
ROCKVILLE, MD-Mildred O. Freer, 92, formerly of Port Allegany, of Brooks Rd. went to be with her Lord, Wednesday (Mar. 14, 2012) in her home in Rockville, MD.
Born November 12, 1919, in Bradford, PA, she was a daughter of Floyd and Eda Omstead Taylor. On July 29, 1946, in Columbia, MD, she married Richard L. Freer, who died Nov. 23, 1982. On Mar. 8, 1947, her beloved and only son was born, Wayne R. Freer, who died Apr. 23, 2002.
Mrs. Freer was an entrepreneur and sold Sara Coventry and later opened the Riverside Ceramics in Port Allegany. She retired to Sarasota, FL, where she lived until she was 90. She enjoyed life and her Lord to the fullest.
Surviving are many nieces and nephews, Linda St. John of Washington, DC, Joan Taylor, Daniel W. Taylor, Floyd Taylor, Harold J. Taylor, all of West Virginia, Charles Taylor of Pennsylvania, Sandra Holt of Tennessee, David Taylor of North Carolina, Robert Taylor and LuAnn Shadman both of Virginia, Michele Ziafatmadary of Maryland, Phyllis Dodd, Phillip Taylor, Gary Taylor and Dennis Taylor of New York, and Gregory Taylor of Illinois; and her second family Sherman Freer, Loyola Stasick, Dorothy George, and Rev. Francis Crisci.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, a sister, Dorothy Shaw, and two brothers, Harold Taylor, Robert Taylor, and a nephew, Donald Stewart.

A private graveside service will be held Saturday, Mar. 24, 2012, in Grimes Cemetery, Port Allegany.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
