PORT ALLEGANY- Michael A. Donovan, 48, passed away Sunday (Jun. 12, 2011) in Lakeview Senior Care & Living Center, Smethport, surrounded by his family.
Born January 14, 1963, in Port Allegany, he was a son of Larry H. and Ella F. Jackson Donovan.
Mr. Donovan was employed by Pittsburgh Corning Co. of Port Allegany, before having to retire.
He was a lifetime resident of the area and attended the Smethport Calvary Academy.
He was a member of the Port Allegany Christian Missionary Alliance Church.
Surviving in addition to his mother, Ella, are two daughters, Kylie J. Donovan of Port Allegany, and Gracee N. Donovan of Smethport; two sisters, Mary F. (James) Campbell of Smethport, and N. Ruth Thompson of Coudersport; a brother, Larry F. Donovan of Bradford; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and a nephew, Kevin A. Donovan.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday (Jun. 15, 2011) with Rev. Joseph Beckley of the Port Allegany Christian Missionary Alliance Church, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport.
