Mary F. McQUOWN

Mary F. McQUOWN, 89, of Coudersport, PA, formerly of Bloomsburg, PA, died Friday, February 6, 2015 in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport, PA. Born July 13, 1925, in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Thomas Holzman. She was married Harold E. McQuown, who predeceased her in 2005. A 1943 graduate of Southmont High School and a 1946 graduate of the Thomas Jefferson School of Nursing, she was employed as a registered nurse. She was a member of St. Eulalia Catholic Church in Coudersport, Thomas Jefferson Nurses Alumni, and Eulalia Chapter No. 148, Order of the Eastern Star in Coudersport. Surviving are: four children, Karen (Bruce) Robbins of Coudersport, Lt. Com. David (Doreen) McQuown, Retired of Woodland, NC, Mark (Cheryle) McQuown of Hesston, PA, and Dawn (Erik) Tate of Chesapeake, VA; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a grandson, Scott McQuown. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 11, 2015 in Sorber Cemetery, Reyburn, Shickshinny, PA.
