Mary Hamilton Nelson GREEN, 97, of Gerry, NY, formerly of Bingham Center, PA, died Monday, September 1, 2014 in her son's home in Greenville, PA. Born Januuary 1, 1917, in Bingham Township, PA, she was the daughter of Paul L. and Grace Plants Hamilton. On May 12, 1941, in Bingham Center, she married Arthur Nelson, who predeceased her on February 17, 1977. On December 10, 1983, in Ulysses, PA, she married Richard L. Green, who predeceased her on August 14, 1989. A graduate of Ulysses High School and Mansfield University, she taught in the Northern Potter School District for several years. She was an active member of the Ulysses Free Methodist Church for many years, and later the Free Methodist Church in Gerry, NY. Surviving are: two sons, Paul (Winnie) Nelson of Schoharie, NY and John (Gale) Nelson of Greenville, PA; two grandsons, Nicholas (Shawna) Nelson and Nathan Nelson; three great-grandchildren, Verity Nelson, Jack Nelson, and Marissa Nelson; a step-daughter, Fredaricka (Larry) Fletcher of Raymond, PA; two step-sons, James (Sherry) Green of Reynoldsville, PA and Raymond (Peggy) Green of Olean, NY; step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Marjorie Warriner and Rachel Rennells; and a brother, George R. Hamilton. Friends may call Friday, September 5, 2014 from 3:00 - 6:00 PM at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday in the Ulysses Free Methodist Church. Rev. Marty Zdrojewski, Rev. James Green, and Rev. Walter S. Fleming will officiate. Burial will be in Ulysses Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday in Seeley Auditorium, Heritage Village Retirement Campus, Gerry, NY, with the Rev. Sam Shreffler and the Rev.
