Marvin H. LOONEY, of Genesee, PA, formerly of Monrovia, MD, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013. Born in Grundy, VA, he was the son of Gallie A. and Edna Thomas Looney. He was married to the former Mary C. Roberts, who survives. A US Army Veteran, he served honorably from 1953 - 1955. He worked as a meat cutter, self-employed building contractor, and was employed by the National Park Service. Marvin was a member of the NRA. Surviving besides his wife, Mary, are: three children, Patricia Ann (Jeff) Cohen of Alexandria, VA, Cheryl Lynne (Robert) Justis of Germantown, MD, and Marvin Randall (Monica Mintz) Roberts of Coudersport, PA; a brother, Henry (Judy) Looney of WV; three sisters, Fawn (David) Weed, Loretta (Mike) Murphy, and Evelyn "Carol" (Terry) James, all of Maryland. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Larry Looney and Bobby Gene Looney. Funeral Services were held 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 16, 2013 in the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA. Rev. Paul M. Karges officiated. Burial was in Ulysses Cemetery.
