Martin W. GEORGE, 66, of Olean, NY, formerly of Ulysses, PA, died Monday, January 8, 2024 in Olean General Hospital.
Born July 17, 1957, in Wellsboro, PA, he was the son of Leonard E. and Jean Whitney George. Marty loved to read, paint, and take landscape photography. Musically inclined from a young age, he liked to sing, play coronet and harmonica.
Surviving are: a brother, Timothy R. (Janet) George of Fulton, NY; four sisters, Anne (Michael) Solis of Genesee, PA, Pamela (Larry) Cowburn of Ulysses, Nina (Tom) Graham of Mexico, NY, and Sarah George of Genesee; nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased a brother, Whitney A. George.
Friends may call at Olney-Foust Funeral Homes & Crematory, Ulysses, PA on Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, with a Memorial Service following at 2:00 PM. His nephew, Rev. Cameron Cowburn will officiate. Burial will be in Ulysses Cemetery.
