Martin L. Austin
ELDRED- Martin L. Austin, 58, of Newell Creek Rd., passed away Sunday (May 6, 2012) at his home with his family by his side.
Born September 10, 1953, in Olean, NY, he was a son of Lawrence H. and Kay F. Simms Austin. On July 4, 1981, in Coryville, PA, he married Cindy A. Tanner, who survives.
Mr. Austin had worked for Case Cutlery of Bradford, Ethan Allen Co. of Eldred, Pinkerton Security, and most recently with AM Guard Security of Mansfield, and BT Contracting Co. of Bradford.
He was a lifetime resident of the area and a graduate of Smethport High School, Class of 1972; and attended Williamsport Community College.
He was a member of the Coryville Church of Faith. He enjoyed his country music and spending time with his family.
Surviving are a son, Martin L. Austin, Jr. of Eldred; two daughters, Barbara K. Austin and Elizabeth Austin both of Eldred; a granddaughter, Kaylee Austin; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday (May 9, 2012) in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany, when funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. with Rev. Max Simms, pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, and Rev. Kent Hill, pastor of the Coryville Church of Faith co-officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Port Allegany.
Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
