Mark E. LAWYER

Mark E. LAWYER, 73, of Odin, Coudersport, PA, formerly of Hanover, died Thursday, December 5, 2013 in Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, PA. Born July 25, 1940, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of George W. and Vida Stoner Lawyer. On February 10, 1978, in Westminster, MD, he married the former Clair I. Kauffenger, who predeceased him on November 13, 2009. He attended Eichelberger High School in Hanover and served in the US Army from 1958 -- 1961. Mark was employed by P.H. Glatfelter in Spring Grove, retiring in 2006. Since 2006, he served as nursery manager at the Potter County Anglers Club. He was a member of local hunting and fishing groups, the Home Association of McSherrystown, and the Quarter Century Club at P.H. Glatfelter. Mark held an amateur radio license (W32Y) since 1952 and was a member of the American Radio Relay League. Surviving are: a daughter, Jamie Lynn Lawyer of New York City, NY; three step-daughters, Robin Cardino of Gardners, PA, Diane Garland of McSherrystown, PA, and Cheryl Howard of Hanover, PA; four grandchildren; a brother, Donald Lawyer of Hanover; and a sister, Susan Lawyer of Hanover. There will be no visitation or service. Memorials may be made to the Patterson Cancer Center, c/o Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, PA 16915.
