Marilyn E. "Tiff" SLAWSON

Marilyn E. "Tiff" SLAWSON, 55, of Genesee, PA, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014 in her home, following a battle with cancer. Born May 27, 1958, in Wellsville, NY, she was the daughter of Howard "Tom" and Ethel "Millie" Burdick Margeson. Tiff was a 1976 graduate of Scio Central School. On September 4, 1976, in Scio, NY, she married Thomas A. Slawson, who survives. They spent 36 years together fishing, hunting, gardening, riding motorcycle, and traveling, especially enjoying their trip to Alaska and raising their family. Tiff enjoyed her flowers, birds, and spending time with family. She was employed by Brucel Distributing in Harrison Valley, Long Vue Motel and Restaurant in Wellsville, and Jones Memorial Hospital for 23 years. Surviving besides her husband, Tom, are: two sons, Jeremy (Donna) Slawson and Jeffrey (Jaime) Slawson, both of Genesee; six grandchildren, Miranda, Amanda, Ryan, Nathan, Tre, and Reagan; her mother, Ethel "Millie" Margeson of Scio, NY; brothers, Thomas (Lonnie) Margeson of Belmont, NY and John (Pam) Margeson of Scio, NY; sisters-in-law, Nancy Walsh of Olean, NY, Carol Margeson of Cuba, NY, Denise Francus of Gilderland, NY; brother-in-law, David Slawson and mother-in-law, Donna Fox, both of St. Petersburg, FL; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father in 1970; and a brother, James Margeson, in 2000. Friends may call Friday, March 21, 2014 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA, where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 3:00 PM. .
