Lynn M. VAN ETTEN, 84, of Ulysses, PA, died Thursday, January 23, 2014 in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport, PA. Born September 11, 1929, in Harrison Township, PA, he was the son of Mark J. and Miriam Pride Van Etten. On September 27, 1947, in Wellsville, NY, he married the former Vivian L. Hamilton, who survives. A Korean War Veteran, he served honorably with the US Army from 1952 - 1954 in the medical corps and was a ward master in the Tokyo Army Hospital. He was employed as a milk hauler for M.H. Rankin for 10 years and as a plant foreman/supervisor for Varcum Chemical in Niagara Falls, NY for 28 years. Lynn served as a Bingham Township Supervisor for nine years. Surviving besides his wife, Vivian, are: two sons, Tom (Eileen) Van Etten of Latham, NY and David (Bridget) Van Etten of Murphy, TX; a daughter, Lynda Van Etten of Albany, NY; a granddaughter, Alice Van Etten of Latham, NY; three brothers, Lyle (Joyce) Van Etten and Thomas (Sharon) Van Etten, both of Whitesville, NY, and Richard (Mary Ellen) Van Etten of Wellsville, NY; two sisters, Evelyn (Floyd) Buckley of Bath, NY and Carol Cady of Westfield, PA; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, Andrew Van Etten; and a brother, William D. Van Etten. Friends may call at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA on Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon, with a Memorial Service following at 12:00 Noon. The Rev.
