Louise O. CONVERSE

Louise O. CONVERSE, 79, of Westfield, PA, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA. Born February 12, 1933, in Genesee, PA, she was the daughter of Preston A. and Lucy P. Gardner Whitaker. On September 11, 1951, in Genesee, she married Vernie H. Converse, who predeceased her in 1996. She was a school bus driver in the Northern Potter and Northern Tioga School Districts for 25 years, retiring in 1990. Surviving are: two sons, Wayne Converse of Westfield, PA and Dean Converse of Leola, PA; a daughter, Diane Patton of Philadelphia, PA; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Deidre Newberry; and a daughter-in-law, Tina Converse. Friends may call Friday, February 1, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA, where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Edward Heyler will officiate. Burial will be in Ulysses Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sabinsville Volunteer Ambulance, Sabinsville, PA 16943.
