Loretta A. LEWIS, 93, of Whitesville, NY, died Tuesday, September 5, 2017 in her home following a long illness.
Born January 26, 1924, in the Town of Willing, she was the daughter of Wilbur and Grace Marshall Hunt.
On June 14, 1947, in Whitesville, she married Dorr F. Lewis, who predeceased her.
A graduate of Wellsville High School, she was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a former member of the Whitesville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed time spent with her family and many friends. Loretta also enjoyed babysitting, quilting and embroidering.
Surviving are: a daughter, Diane Osgood of Wellsville; three sons, Darryl (Punky) Lewis, Dean (Maureen) Lewis, and Duane Lewis, all of Whitesville; five grandchildren, Monica Acomb, Jaime Lewis, Kris Osgood, Karri Osgood and Chris Ordway; ten greatgrandchildren; a brother, Lester Hunt of Wellsville; a sister, Laura Harder of Wellsville; a sister-in-law, Margaret Hunt of Wellsville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Carl Osgood.
Friends may call at the Mulholland-Crowell Funeral Home, Wellsville on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM, with Funeral Services following at 4:00 PM. Pastor Trevor Price, of the West Union Mennonite Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Whitesville Rural Cemetery.
