PORT ALLEGANY- Lloyd E. Eastman, 94, of Chestnut St., passed away Friday (Jan. 12, 2018) in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport.
Born May 31, 1923, in Wrights, PA, he was a son of Lessie and Ethel Meacham Eastman.  On June 8, 1947, in Montoursville, PA, he married Dolores K. Botera, who survives. They were married 70 years.
Lloyd was a lifetime resident of the area and a graduate of Port Allegany High School, class of 1941.
Mr. Eastman was employed with The First National Bank, Port Allegany, as president, and retired in May of 2008, after 64 years of service.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Port Allegany, where he was treasurer for 30 years, and on the finance committee. He was a member and past president of the Port Allegany Rotary Club for 48 years, and had perfect attendance. Lloyd was president of the First National Bank since 1974, and chairman of the Board, when he retired in 2008. He was a former treasurer of the Band Boosters, former treasurer of the Port Allegany Economic Development Corp., former treasurer of the Chamber of Commerce and the S.W. Smith Library. Mr. Eastman was a great civic minded person and will be greatly missed.
Surviving in addition to his wife Dolores, are a daughter, Pamela D. (Charles) Fischer of Port Allegany; three sons, Lance E. (Deborah) Eastman of Allegany, NY,  Dr. Kevin L. (Dr. Jacqueline) Eastman of Savannah, GA, Dr. Alan D. (Denise) Eastman of Homer City, PA; 11 granchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lois J. Brown of Boston, MA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a great-grandson, Mason D. Fischer-Lindsey, a sister, Mariam E. Dickerson, and brother-in-law, Robert Brown.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany. A funeral service will be held at 11a.m. Monday (Jan. 15, 2018) in the United Methodist Church, Port Allegany, with Rev. Ben Zimmerman, pastor, and Rev. Randy Headley co-officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Port Allegany.
Memorials can be made to the United Methodist Church or Port Allegany Recreation Authority.
