Lewis A. "Sonny" SMITH, 76, of Coudersport, PA, died Saturday, March 4, 2017 in Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport.
Born June 3, 1940, in Blossburg, PA, he was the son of Dorr and Margie M. Snay Smith.
He was married to the former Loretta Button, who survives.
Sonny was employed by Damascus Tannery in Coudersport, Snyder Tank in Galeton, PennDOT, and the PA Dept. of Forestry. He was a member of the NRA.
Surviving besides his wife, Loretta, are: four children, Sheila (Gary) Foust, Linda (Duane) Davis, both of Coudersport, Lewis (Tina) Smith, Jr. of Cyclone, PA, and Melvin Smith of Coudersport; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Duane (Donna) Smith of Galeton, PA, Basil (Janet) Tubbs of Ulysses, PA, and Brenda (Albert) Schweigart of Mills, PA; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Shelly K. Kelligan; his parents; and his step-mother, Mary Smith.
Friends will be received at the family home.
