Leila B. HUNT

Leila B. HUNT, 85, of Genesee, PA, died Sunday, July 28, 2013 in Hart Comfort House, Wellsville, NY. Born November 19, 1927, in Sabinsville, PA, she was the daughter of George and Laura Mascho Bathrick. On June 10, 1950, in Austinburg, PA, she married Ernest C. Hunt, who predeceased her on November 14, 2011. A 1946 graduate of Sabinsville High School, she was employed by Galeton Production and National Cash Register Co. in Ithaca, NY. She was a member of the Ellisburg Union Wesleyan Church, the Genesee United Methodist Church, and past matron and life member of Order of the Eastern Star #95 in Ulysses. Surviving are: two sons, Edward E. Hunt of Genesee and Gary Hunt of Roulette, PA; two daughters, Stephanie Scarkino of Lathrop, MO and Helen Candace (Pete) Hunt of Charleston, SC; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Theodore J. Hunt in 2002; and two brothers, Earlton Bathrick and Howard E. Bathrick. Friends may call at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM, with an Eastern Star Service at 8:30 PM. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday in the Ellisburg Union Wesleyan Church. The Rev. Paul M. Karges, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Genesee Cemetery.
