Lena M. Stuckey
PORT ALLEGANY- Lena M. Stuckey, 99, of Church St., passed away Sunday (May 28, 2017) in Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport.
Born September 1, 1917, in Monroe Township, Richland County, Ohio, she was a daughter of Jesse and Cleo Yarnell Ohler. On April 28, 1934, she married Howard Stuckey, Sr., in Mansfield, OH. They moved to Potter County following their marriage and farmed most of their lives. She was a housewife and mother, did some babysitting and was employed at Case Cutlery in Bradford, for several years.
Surviving are a son, Max (Genevieve) Stuckey, Sr. of Roulette, a daughter, Helen McCanna of Roulette, a daughter-in-law, Grace Stuckey of Florida, 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, many great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Isabelle Hunter and Anna Brown both of Mansfield, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Howard, two sons, Robert and Howard Stuckey, Jr.; six grandchildren, two sisters, and a brother.
At Lena’s request, there will be no visitation or memorial service.
Memorials can be made to the Star Hose Fire Dept. or the Port Area Ambulance Service.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction for the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
