Kenneth V. Main
PORT ALLEGANY- Kenneth V. Main, 73, of Parklane Dr., passed away Sunday (Mar. 6, 2016) in Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, PA.
Born October 31, 1942, in Port Allegany, he was a son of Leo V. and Lula M. Grenell Main.
Kenneth was a lifetime resident of the area and was employed by Muccio Transportation Co., Port Allegany, as a bus driver. He had also worked in maintenance, for the Port Allegany School District.
He had been a former social member of the Veteran’s Memorial Home, Port Allegany.
Surviving are two sons, Kenneth M. (Tina) Main of Port Allegany, Rusty (Jamie) Main of Shinglehouse, PA; four daughters, Ilene R. (Wayne) Kamats of Emporium, Joanne M. (Delbert) Snyder, Lisa M. (Doug Austin) Main, and Tracy R. (Rick) Cochran all of Port Allegany; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; a sister, Marlene Dugan of Eldred; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Jeffery A. Main, four brothers, Edward and William Fuller, Robert Main and Robert Edison; and two sisters, Dorothy Hults and Coila Vicic.
Friends will be received from 12- 2 p.m. Thursday (Mar. 10, 2016) in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. with Rev. Allen Long, pastor of the Port Allegany Alliance Church, officiating. Burial will be in Grimes Cemetery, Port Allegany.
Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
