Kathleen Gillen Hart
PORT ALLEGANY-Kathleen Gillen Hart, 61, of Antioch, TN, formerly of Port Allegany, passed away Thursday (Feb. 17, 2011), at her home with her family by her side.
Born Sept. 25, 1949, in Olean, NY, she was a daughter of Joseph and Doris Fitzsimmons Gillen.
She grew up in Port Allegany and graduated from the Port Allegany High School, class of 1967, and from Elon College with a bachelor of science, class of 2001.
She was a legal secretary and worked for Smith, Cashion & Orr Law Firm of Nashville, TN.
She was a former member of St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, Port Allegany.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph M. (Tracy) Hart of North Port, FL, and Timothy R. Hart of Antioch, TN; five grandchildren; two sisters, Joan (Marvin) Smith of Antioch, TN, and Nancy (William) Feldman of Crossville, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 Monday in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 22, 2011) in St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, with Rev. James Campbell, as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Port Allegany.
A scriptural wake service will be held at 1:40 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to the St. Gabriel’s Church Mem. Fund or St. Jude’s Childrens’ Hospital.
