Judith A. Nellis
TURTLEPOINT- Judith A. Nellis, 66, of Route 155, passed away Sunday (July 31, 2016) in her home.
Born February 19, 1950, in Erie, PA, she was a daughter of Raymond and Betty Boylan Head. On Apr. 18, 1981, in Jamestown, NY, she married James D. Nellis, who survives.
Judith was a longtime resident of the area, coming from Jamestown, NY. She had worked as a nurse’s aide with Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport, before her retirement.
She enjoyed her family and grandchildren, who will miss her dearly.
Surviving are two sons, William D. (Tammy) Waid of Big Spring, TX, David S. (Audrey) Waid of Las Vegas, NV; two daughters, Jami L. Keech of Roulette, and Jody L. Stolipher of Martinsburg, WV; 12 grandchildren: Tory Stolipher, Travis, Mila, and Conner Waid, James D.S. Nellis, Trisha, Kendra, Alex, and Ryan Pelchy, Braiden, Zaiden, and Zander Keech; 2 great-grandchildren: Camden and Maylee Nellis; three brothers, Ken (Linda) Head of Houston, TX, Houston (Pat) Travis of Lake Worth, FL, Robert (Lisa) Head of Dunkirk, NY; two sisters, Cindy (Dennis) Haskins of Chambersburg, PA, Mattie (Claudia) McIntyre of Portland, NY; and several nieces and nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, William D. Waid, and two brothers, Richard Lee Head and Ray Head.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service Saturday (Aug. 13, 2016) at 2 p.m. in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany, with Rev. Anthony Edgell, pastor of the Turtlepoint Evangelical Church, officiating.
Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
