Judith A. Morton
SMETHPORT- Judith A. Morton, 70, of Pierce Brook Rd., passed away Friday (Dec. 21, 2012) in the Charles Cole Mem. Hospital, Coudersport and went to be with her Lord and Savior.
Born Aug. 7, 1942, in Mount Pleasant, PA, she was a daughter of Lloyd and Mary Eicher Daniels. On Sept. 13, 1961, in Portville, NY, she married E. Lyle Morton, who died Sept. 28, 2002. They were married 41 years.
Mrs. Morton was a longtime resident of the area and a graduate of Port Allegany High School, Class of 1960.
She was a member of the Faith Church of Charity, Port Allegany, where she was youth pastor, church secretary and treasurer. She loved children.
Surviving are a daughter, Melonie A. (Landis) Button of Smethport; two step-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren; five brothers, Terry R. (Karen) Daniels of Port Allegany; George W. Daniels and Lloyd R. “Buster” (Karen) Daniels both of Roulette, William E. Daniels of Rochester, NY, Richard L. Daniels of Mt. Pleasant, PA; two sisters, Susann Irwin of Port Allegany, Jean A.(Curt) Linker of Summertown, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband E. Lyle, a brother, Ronald W. Daniels, and two sisters, Barbara A. Pinchock and Patricia Taylor.
Friends will be received from 1-4 p.m. Sunday (Dec. 23, 2012) in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany, where a funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. with Rev. Deborah L. Smith, pastor of the Faith Church of Charity, officiating. Burial will be in Grimes Cemetery, Port Allegany.
