Joseph W. McCASLIN

Joseph W. McCASLIN, 74, of Potter Brook, Westfield, PA, died Saturday, November 16, 2013 in the Green Home, Wellsboro, PA. Born January 29, 1939, in Potter Brook, PA, he was the son of Cleo J. and Gladys O. Houghtaling McCaslin. On September 6, 1957, in Potter Brook, he married the former Florence Cornish, who survives. He was employed by the Eberle Tannery and Robert Feaster Corp. of Northumberland, PA. Surviving besides his wife, Florence, are: six children, Joseph M. (Melinda) McCaslin of Potter Brook, Bruce M. McCaslin of Huntingdon, PA, Sandra M. (Michael) Johnson of Little Marsh, PA, David R. McCaslin of Potter Brook, Lisa R. Jayne of Nelson, PA, and Robert J. McCaslin of Potter Brook, five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six sisters, Mona (Everett) Silsby of Andrews Settlement, Ada Reynolds of Potter Brook, Joy (Duane) Stiles of Westfield, Thelma (Norman) Smith of Potter Brook, Nancy (John) Cook of Andrews Settlement, PA, and Candy (Robert) Dunn of Ulysses; a brother, Erwin (Audrey) McCaslin of Potter Brook; nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Jean McCaslin; three brothers, Frederick McCaslin, Lyle McCaslin, and Harvey McCaslin; and a sister, Ila May Smith. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Potter Brook, PA.
