John W. BRIMMER, 70, of Harrison Valley, PA, died Tuesday, January 5, 2016 in his home. Born November 9, 1945, in Troupsburg, NY, he was the son of Warren A. and Merna M. Cornish Brimmer. On June 6, 1970, in Potter Brook, PA, he married the former Vicky E. Stevens, who survives. He was employed by Eberle Tannery in Westfield, Ulysses Lumber, and Bi-Con Services, retiring in 2007. Surviving besides his wife, Vicky, are: two children, Candy (Mike Lewis) McNeely of Knoxville, PA and Warren (Jamie) Brimmer of Harrison Valley; five grandchildren, Kirsten McNeely, Hunter McNeely, Chloe Brimmer, Wyatt Brimmer, and Austin Brimmer; five sisters, Margaret Huggins of Westfield, PA, Katherine (William) Van Dusen of Cowanesque, PA, Joan (Roy) Billings of Wellsville, NY, Betty (Leon) Payne of Harrison Valley, and Ann (Dewitt) Haskins of Whitehall, PA; a brother, Michael (Leta) Brimmer of Harrison Valley, PA; a sister-in-law, Debbie (Dale) Schoonover of Knoxville; two uncles, Chester Cornish of Harrison Valley and Edward Cornish of Wellsville, NY; an aunt, Elizabeth Painter of Wellsville, NY; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Marion E. Courtright. Friends may call Friday, January 8, 2016 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA, where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM.
