Joan M. JEFFRIES

Joan M. JEFFRIES, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, 69, of Ulysses, PA, died Saturday, September 6, 2014 in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. Born February 1, 1945, in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of Norman W. and Mildred R. Fitzgerald McCarty. On June 15, 1963, in Philadelphia, PA, she married William Jeffries, IV, who survives. She was employed by I.U. #9 as a paraeducator working with special needs children. Surviving besides her husband, Bill, are: four children, William (Julie) Jeffries, V, of Galeton, Charles Edward Jeffries of Bedminster, PA, Donna Marie Estep of Woodhull, NY, and Wendy (David) Burrous of Galeton; four grandchildren, Brett Michael Jeffries, Nathan William Jeffries, Marcus A. Todaro, and Joshua Todaro; a sister, Cathleen (Michael) Moran of Suffolk, VA; and two nephews, Matthew and Joseph. She was predeceased by her parents. There will be no public visitation or service.
