Joan Crowell FLEMING, 76, of Littlerock, CA, formerly of Brooklyn, NY and Coudersport, PA, died Sunday, December 22, 2013 in Palmdale Regional Medical Center, Palmdale, CA. Born June 10, 1937, in Wellsboro, PA, she was the daughter of Clark A. and Cleopha Carpenter Crowell. She was employed by Central Brooklyn Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY. Surviving are: her mother, Cleopha Crowell of Wellsboro, PA; two sons, William James Fleming of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Arthur Christopher (Melissa) Fleming of New York, NY; two grandchildren, Claire Fleming of New York, NY and Erik Fleming of Napanoch, NY; a sister, Joyce Crowell of Littlerock, CA; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by a son, David Fleming; and a brother, Clark Edward Crowell. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 14, 2014 in the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA. Rev. Paul Karges will officiate. Interment will be in Raymond Cemetery.
