PORT ALLEGANY- Jeannine I. Todd, 78, of Berts, Dr., passed away Monday (Feb. 6, 2012) in Lakeview Senior Care & Living Center, Smethport.
Born May 11, 1933, in Olean, NY, she was a daughter of Walter E. and Eleanor Brussee Songer. She was first married to Ronald Deitz. In 1967, in Port Allegany, she married Bert Hults, who died July14, 1976; and in 1979, in Midland, PA, she married Jay H. Todd, Sr. who died Apr. 7, 2007.
She had worked for Viko Furniture Co. of Eldred, and later worked as a nurse’s aide for McKean County Visiting Nurse’s Association, and Sena Kean Manor, before her retirement.
She enjoyed camping, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her mother, Eleanor Songer of Bradford; two sons, Ronald L. (Judy) Deitz of Port Allegany, Michael E. (Dina) Deitz of Orlando, FL; three stepsons, Charles E. Harpster of Lewis Run, PA, Jay H. (Deb) Todd, Jr. of Industry, PA , Jeff (Lisa) Todd of Monaca, PA; a daughter, Brenda J. (Bob) Lowman of Port Allegany; a stepdaughter, Linda M. (Roger) Okerlund of Port Allegany; 21 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; four brothers, William E. (Carol) Songer of Limestone, NY, Joseph Songer of Avila Beach, CA, Terry Songer of Bradford, and Richard (Carol) Songer of Little Valley, NY; a sister, Karen (Ron) Bergman of Chandler, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and two husbands, Bert Hults and Jay Todd, Sr.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 9, 2012) with Rev. Allen Young, pastor of East Smethport United Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Grimes Cemetery, Port Allegany.
Memorials can be made to McKean County VNA or East Smethport United Christian Church.
